Protein should be approximately the size of the palm of your hand so if you are an active male you would eat two palms per meal or a woman would eat 1 palm per meal.
Vegetables should be about the size of a closed fist
Carbohydrates should be a cupped hand of carbs (cooked)
A serving of fats is about the size of your thumb.
So if you are an active male you would eat two palms of protein, 2 fists of veg, 2 handfuls of carbs and 2 thumbs of Fat per meal or a woman would eat 1 portion per meal. Using this methods men will intake between 2000-3000 kcal in the day and women 1500-2000 kcal.
